When our lives are difficult, do we ask for help?
Little children easily ask their parents for help, do we?
We have a very powerful, wise and very loving Father in Heaven. Do we ask Him to help us?
The Bible states:
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying,
“Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said,
“Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children,
you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is
the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:1-4)
In the mist of our most difficult moments of grief, we need to become like little children and understand that the Father’s hand is mighty and can do all things for us. We only need to ask humbly and He will comfort us, lift us up again and aid us on every step of our journey.
Jesus said:
“I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask,
it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered together in My name,
I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20)
It really is that simple. The simple faith of a child in the love our Heavenly Father has for us will bring us joy not only on earth but eternally in Heaven.
Remember that God knows your every thought, word and deed. He knows your tears and longs to wipe them all away if you let Him. Simply invite Him into your heart this day and He will show you the immense love He has for you!
——
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Mat 19:14)
——
Until now you have not asked for anything in My Name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. (John 16:24)
——
Jesus said: “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Luke 11:9-10)
